All Our
Pet Pals
Animals are our companions and comforters and we want to
provide them with the best quality of life possible.

Our animals can experience tension from everyday life, sports,
travel, fatigue, and boredom.  Some tension patterns are natural
but all will cause dis-ease if not tended to.
Tension causes fascia
(connective tissue) to
stick
.  Fascial sticking causes
blood vessels to constrict,
decreasing muscular
hydration.  When oxygenated
blood can’t reach muscles,
they shorten and become
ischemic due to lactic acid
waste products and lack of
oxygen.  This hurts.
Pressures applied during
massage
help move the
blood, increasing circulation
to all the tissues and cells in
the body.  The blood brings,
along with oxygen, the
required hormones, nutrients,
and proteins necessary for
normal cell growth. As it
circulates, it removes the
waste products of cell
metabolism and transports
these wastes to organs in the
body, which filter them out.
Massage is more than
petting or play,
it is a
deliberate and focused
technique of touching. Each
stroke is controlled in
pressure, direction and
intention. It works on the soft
tissues (the muscles,
tendons, and ligaments) to
reduce stress, aid in healing
and provide ongoing health
care for your pet.
Massage can ease tension, stiffness and pain, improve breathing and
circulation, relax, soothe, reassure and enhance well-being.
